  This place is huge! Our daughter gave us a surprise guided tour of this facility because she felt that we would enjoy it. Boy was she right!
  This place has a large selection of different wild animals that are swapped with other facilities so that the facilities and zoos can bring back endangered species without the inbreeding that can sometimes occur.
  Being the beginning of spring you get the arrival of new babies. The giraffes are almost ready to give birth. We were up close and personal with 2 of the gentle giants and was feeding one who saw that we had branches and yummy apples. She was feeding out of our hands.
  There are many more species that you can't have that type of experience but you are able to be up close.
  Our guides, Billy and Shannon, were very knowledgeable and made us feel quite at home as the started our tour on horseback to see some of the animals. After that we transferred to a van for the grand tour of the rest of the area. A box lunch was included as we were talking about the work that was done as we viewed other animals that were hanging out in their own habitats. The different species were sometimes located in the same large ranges. There are various outbuildings for the animals to be protected from the weather and a large staff of people that ensure that the animals are well taken care of.
  It was the most amazing 6 hours that we could have had.
